2019/20 Membership Fees – The Board has considered Membership fee structure for 2019/20. Due to several factors including increased upkeep costs for the course, the Board has decided to increase fees by around 5%. This is the first time subs have increased in 3 years.
We are also reviewing the levels of membership and the final membership structure and fees will be available shortly.
Lease Negotiations – There has been several conversations with the Bayside Council Property Manager who is confident that the Golf Club will continue as it has for the last 20 years. Members of the Board will be meeting with the Property Manager next week to follow up preliminary discussions on the lease.
Congratulations – Well done to Harrison Crowe for remaining undefeated for NSW in the 2019 Interstate Series. Congrats to Ed Yates for his hole in one at the 7th hole on Saturday 25 May. Congratulations to Lynda Ritchie and Kerryn Coldrey for winning our Ladies 2019 Foursomes Championships. Also well done to Anne Caterson and Gai Bass who were the runners-up this year.
Pathway between 3rd and 4th tees – The final stage of the pathway between the 3rd and the 4th tees was completed on 29 May. Thanks to Peter, Bruce and Tony for management of the project and all the volunteers who assisted in the completion of this project.
Gig by Hannah Elise – a great night was had by all who attended Hannah’s gig on Friday 24 May at the Club. Thanks to all who attended. More such nights will be arranged spotlighting local artists so keep your eyes open for such nights and come down for some great entertainment.
Trivia – Don’t miss our next trivia night on Friday 14 June starting at 7.45pm. Dan and Karen Williams will be running the trivia which has a theme of ‘A twist on D-Day’. Remember to book a table and come along for a fun night. Melo’s bistro will be open from 5.30pm to order meals.
Masters Pennant – We have won 2 out of 4 rounds – well done to all who have played so far. Sunday 2 June sees the fifth round against Springwood at Springwood. The last round will be on 16 June v Dunheved at Dunheved. Good luck for the last two matches.
Upcoming Events – Thursday 6 June is the 1st Rd of the Ladies 4BBB stroke championships with the final round 13 June. The Men’s foursome championships commence on 15 June with the 2nd Rd on 22 June.
Ladies Charity Day – The annual Ladies Charity Day will be on Monday 5 August. Come along Ladies and tell your friends to book in their teams. Remember all money raised goes to the Spina Bifida unit at the Children’s Hospital. Contact our Ladies Committee to make bookings.
Weekly happenings – Happy Hour is Fridays 5pm – 6pm, Darts and Euchre are run every Wednesday from 7.30pm, Meat Raffles – are Wednesday & Friday nights and Saturday afternoon and Grocery Grab is run at 7.00pm on Wednesday nights.
