Course Maintenance and Club News
Keen-eyed members should be able to see where seeded areas have begun germinating. We should see growth and green improvement even during winter. Thanks again to Ross and our team of volunteers who keep up the maintenance of the course, gardens and car park. Many members have mentioned their appreciation to these volunteers, some of whom are local residents not members.
Members of the Board and Match & Greens have had discussions with two applicants for greenkeeper duties.
Ladies Events
Ladies 2BBB Championship winners Marilyn Joma & Marlene Hayward (pictured centre) with runners-up Kerryn Coldrey & Lynda Ritchie. Well done to both pairs.
The Ladies KENO Fourball will be played on Thursday 20 July. Good luck to those competing.
Trivia at the Valley
Book your table for the next Trivia Night on 7 July. Ian Davis, our Club Captain, and Ian Stewart will be running the night with questions about Hollywood, TV and music. See the notices in the Club and attached.
Steak and Ale Day
Still, a few tee times left to book in for Steak and Ale Day on Saturday 8 July. The Event will be a 4 Person Ambrose at a cost of $45/person for competition fees, food and drinks. Further information is displayed in the Club and attached.
Christmas in July
Don’t forget to book a table for the Christmas in July is fast approaching on Saturday 15 July. See flyer on display at the club for details.
Presentation Night for 2016 Champions
Please note that Presentation Night is scheduled for Friday 21 July – it would be great to see all our Champions for 2016 events in attendance to be presented with their trophies.
Ladies Annual Charity Day for Spina Bifida will be on Monday 7 August. The team of 4 – best 2 Stableford scores to count. Entry $40 per person includes green fees & lunch. SwingFit – beginners golf fitness classes for ladies. The new class now open for bookings (contact Andrea McGann for more information – see flyer attached).
