Course Maintenance

Starting on Monday 14 August, greens maintenance schedule will start. Greens will be spiked, not cored, scarified, rolled and fertilised. 5 or 6 will be done each day. If you can spare a few hours to come and help it will be appreciated. Please let Peter Weewan, Bruce Alexander, Ross Forsythe or Greg Hoare know if you can help.

In the near future we will purchase artificial grass to attach to the centre of paths and across the bridge. This was made possible by funds raised by the Events Committee for the Club.

New Valley website

We have had some positive feedback about the new website. For those who have not had the chance to have a look yet please follow the link www.bardwellvalleygolf.com.au . It is not fully completed so some parts will not have information yet. Feedback is welcome.

Ladies Annual Charity Day for Spina Bifida was held on Monday 7 August. Another great day was organised by the Ladies Committee. There were 15 teams competing. All had a good time with some of our male players hitting off for the women on 3 holes. Thanks to the Ladies Committee and those who volunteered on the day. Well done Ladies.

Trivia

Trivia is on this Friday 11 August. Dan and Karen Williams are our quiz masters for the night. The theme is ‘COLOUR YOUR WORLD’. It’s not too late to come along and have some fun. So ring the club and book a table.

Mixed Foursomes

The final round of the Mixed Foursomes will be held on Sunday 13 August. 12 pairs competed in the first round on the 6 August. It was a great day for golf which this Sunday should be the same. Good luck to our 12 pairs.

Women’s Bardwell Valley Shield

This will be played on Thursday 24 August. The event is Teams of 3 Aggregate and Individual Stableford. Good Luck Ladies.

Vets Championship

The first round of the Vet’s Championship is on Tuesday 29 August. Go the Vets.
