Wow – wasn’t it great to have a full clubhouse (well, the new full) with 66 patrons booked in for Father’s Day lunch! Brendan & his team did a marvellous job with the “Bunker Hawk” proving to be the popular menu choice of the day. A huge shoutout to Sharee who was amazing – a solo shift working both the bar and keeping tabs on the number of patrons in the club at all times.

We appreciate some golfers may not have been happy being turned away from a post-game drink in the clubhouse, but Covid-19 restrictions mean numbers are strictly capped & must be adhered to – if in doubt always prebook, even if just for some post-golf drinks.

COURSE SIGNAGE
Many of you will have noticed the Club has invested in signage indicating the direction carts MUST take in order to avoid damage to the course. Whilst most golfers seem to be doing the right thing, sadly some irresponsible cart drivers have managed to drive over the signs and break them – this is not acceptable and any member/visitor found ignoring course signage may be asked to leave & lose playing privileges.

CARPARK SECURITY
New bollards & security chain have been installed at the entrance to the Club carpark to prevent trespassers in cars entering at night. Our neighbours have been complaining of excessive noise as well as a lot of rubbish being left.

REMEDIATION WORKS
Funds have been allocated for the purchase of soil & turf to fill in the green-side bunker on the 13th hole. The damaged area to the side of the 17th green will also be repaired and re-turfed. Paths adjacent to the 14th & 15th tee boxes will be levelled and top dressed to prevent erosion.

AIRCONDITIONING
An order has been placed for the installation of 3 split system air-conditioning units. 1 unit will be placed in the poker machine room and the other 2 units in the general bar area. In addition, 3 ceiling fans will be installed in front of the bar. The bistro section will be assessed at a later date.

CLUBHOUSE LIGHTING
Refurbishment of all clubhouse lighting is now complete along with upgrading of external lighting with LED security lighting.

SECURITY SYSTEMS
The Club has installed a CCTV monitoring and security system throughout the clubhouse building and also upgraded the existing security system.
