Congratulations to Harrison Crowe for his win in the APGC Junior Championship played in Japan and Queensland. Harrison won the Boys Championship Trophy in Japan with a 3 under win in tough and challenging conditions, which Harrison described as “very, very average”.
With this win, Harrison has cemented a place in the Asia Pacific Diamond Cup on the Japanese Tour in May next year.
CHICK OF THE WALK COMPETITION - 2019
Congratulations to Marlene Hayward and Kay Vickers for winning this year’s Chick of the Walk competition. In a close match, opponents Gai Bass and Wendy Hicks fought hard, but eventually succumbed to the stealth of Marlene and Kay who came through to win 2-up. Well done ladies and congratulations.
SUPER SENIORS RESULTS
BVGC turned on a great day hosting the Super Seniors matches for Division 1 on Tuesday, 3 September. The first two matches – North Ryde v Ryde Parramatta and Asquith v Roseville squared their matches 4 all. The last of the three matches was Palm Beach v Monash. Monash had a good win 7 ½ to ½ .
Thanks to all those BVGC Super Senior team members and other members who assisted with course spotting on the day.
This year was the Club’s first venture into the Super Seniors Pennant, and while we weren’t successful, it was a great experience.
Thanks to all who played for BVGC, including those who had never represented the Club before. Thanks to: Greg Lee, John Hunter, John Rogerson, Dan Pilay, Vaine Tekura, Bob Simpson, Geoff Roberts, Bob Winney, Paul McFarland, and Dan Williams.
