Greenkeeper

The Board has decided to appoint Club Pro Ross Forsythe as the new Greenkeeper. We congratulate Ross on his appointment and we expect member will support Ross in this role. Ross is looking for members to help with sweeping the greens of a morning when there is heavy dew. This process is required to avoid fungal infections, Dollar Spot and Pythium, which cause dead spots and degradation of the green’s surface. See Ross for details.

Course Maintenance

Members should notice a vast improvement after the strong winds with lots of debris being removed from fairways and rough. Shortly the volunteers will be installing artificial grass onto selected paths and the bridge. More Volunteers will be required with the warmer months arriving and grass growing faster. Vets Championships

The final round of the Vets Championships is on Tuesday 5 September. Good luck to all our Vets.

Chick of the Walk

Qualifying for the ‘Chick of the Walk’ is Thursday 7 September. Four pairs will qualify to play the first round on Thursday 14 September. Good luck to all our ladies competing.

Super Sixes

Saturday 9 September will be a ‘Super Sixes’ event.

Upcoming Events

A number of events are coming up in the next few months that members should keep an eye out for, including:
– 24/9 – Super Sunday
– 7/10 – Mates Rates Day
– 12/10 – Ladies Club Championship begins
– 14/10 – Men’s Club Championship begins

Legacy Day is scheduled for 11 November. Please see the notices in the clubhouse and if your are able to provide a prize for the day it will be appreciated.
