LADIES CHARITY DAY
MONDAY, 5 AUGUST – The annual Ladies Charity Day will be held on Monday, 5 August 2019. All money raised goes to the Spina Bifida unit at the Children’s Hospital. Contact our Ladies Committee to make a booking.
SUPER SENIORS PENNANT – MONDAY, 5 AUGUST – First round at Palm Beach
SWING FIT FOR BEGINNERS – TUESDAY, 6 AUGUST – Swing Fit For Beginners is the perfect intro to golf within a fun and friendly group class. The programme provides the basics of swing technique, rules, and etiquette. Call Andrea McGann on 0419 520 928.
WINE TASTING & FOOD PAIRING – FRIDAY, 9 AUGUST – 6.30PM FOR 7PM START – $50pp – Spaces filling fast – Book at the Bar – Specially selected 3 course meal and paired wines.

OUTLET SHOPPING TOUR – SATURDAY, 17 AUGUST – 8AM-5PM – The famous Outlet Shopping Tour is back! The bus departs the Club at 8am sharp and returns around 5pm. $45per person, including lunch. Speak to Wendy Prideaux (0403 001 994) to secure your spot.
SUPER SENIORS PENNANT – FROM mon, 5 august – 2019 marks the first time BVGC will participate in the Super Seniors Pennant.
Organised through Golf NSW, here’s a little information on the Pennant:
Formed in 2001, Super Seniors Pennant was created and based on a competition run in the U.S. called “the Super Seniors”. Aimed at providing competition golf targeted at those aged 65+, we provide play through the week at various clubs across the Lower Mid North Coast, Hunter, Central Coast, Blue Mountains, Illawarra, and Sydney regions.
DIVISION – DRAW – DATES – The Super Seniors Pennant is played mid-week and the first found is MONDAY, 5 AUGUST at PALM BEACH.
BVGC is in Division 1 and the opposing teams are:

- Asquith
- Monash
- Ryde Parramatta
- Roseville
- North Ryde
As there are seven teams in the division, no team plays at home. Our Hosting match will be TUESDAY, 3 SEPTEMBER with tee-off at 10am.
2019-2020 MEMBERSHIPS
Thank you to everyone who has renewed their membership. If you have yet to renew your membership please do so as soon as possible.
Fee categories are available on the website and from the Pro Shop. Bar staff can also provide you with details and process your payment.
BAR DISCOUNTS – PRESENT YOUR MEMBERSHIP CARD
Did you know, that you can access member discounts at the bar simply by presenting your 2019-2020 BVGC membership card. Unfortunately, Bar staff cannot pass on the discounted pricing unless you present your membership card.
VISITORS & UNDER 18’S
All visitors wishing to access the Club House must sign in using the Temporary Membership books on the table on the right, inside the Club’s front doors.
Visitors must also retain their Temporary Membership receipt for the entire time they are on the premises and present it to Bar staff upon request.
Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. They are not permitted to be in the bar area or gaming area.

9-HOLE GOLF COMPETITION
9-hole golf is fast, fun, and fits into busy lives. Whether it’s early in the morning, after work, on the weekends or event while on holidays, there’s time for 9-Hole Golf. And 9-hole scores can count towards handicapping!
Golf Australia are once again staging a celebration of 9-hole golf during the 2019 Australian Open. Four 9-hole golf players selected randomly from NSW/ACT will have the chance to join representatives from other States and Territories to play in a 9-hole event on the Saturday evening of the 2019 Australian Open.
To be in the running, all you have to do is play in at least one official 9-hole competition at Bardwell Valley on the following dates:

Sunday, 8 September
Sunday, 22 September
Sunday, 13 October
Sunday, 27 October
Green fees – $10 (all membership categories)
Prizes – Determined by number of players on the day
You can play in as many 9-hole competitions as you like and each recorded 9-hole score in Golf Link during this time will constitute one entry. In practice, this means you can enter as many times as you like!
$10 GREEN FEE*
Regardless of your membership category, the Green Fee for the 9-hole competition is just $10.
Prizes will be determined by the number of players on the day.
