Steak & Ale Day
The 2018 Steak and Ale Day was held on 21 April. 89 players took part. Congratulations to Bruce Alexander and the Match and Greens Committee for a well organised event. Also, congratulations to Carmeillo and Rosemary in Melo’s bistro for a great meal provided after the match.

Grants
We received good news during the week that we got a $5,000 grant to assist with the purchase of a new ‘mule’ for working on the course. Now we need to raise the remainder of the cost for the vehicle.

‘Return and Earn’
The Club has set up a ‘Return & Earn’ arrangement to recycle all our glass, plastic and aluminium can containers which provides the club with additional income. Please ensure if you are discarding such containers during a round that you place them in the marked bins around the course. If you wish to help the club by recycling your suitable recyclable containers from home then they should be placed in the blue topped bins near the loading dock.

Melo’s Bistro

The Course
Coring of the greens is now finalised. Thanks to all the volunteers who have given their time and labour over the last two weeks to finalise this job. The aim is to renovate the 8th and 14th greens shortly. Please keep your eyes open for more details about this.
